If you are a marketing professional, have you ever stopped to consider that actually half of our work is about presenting/introducing/explaining products, services, entire businesses, or processes? Before and beyond identifying our personas and targeting our audiences, we need to realise that, especially if we are talking about a new product, an innovative startup, or addressing new hires, we are required to call to class, before we call to action. From Audience Education to Employee Onboarding, the goal is to make our students aware, provide the best answers possible, and turn them into fans of our brands and products.


In this blast from the past, I reminisce my days from Fantasy Sports and the joy of being called to explain a niche sports gaming offering to innocent everyday people! For those who don't know, while Fantasy Sports might be massively popular in the US, UK, and other Football-loving European countries, it had been a massively unknown topic in my home country of Greece - at least until recently, and at the time I was called to hire and educate brilliant Gen Z minds in the Fantasy Sports company I was working at, FSI - Fantasy Sports Interactive.


Having an involuntary background in the sports betting business, while being in the Fantasy Sports and iGaming industry since (the days of yore) 2014, and way in too deep, at first I couldn't comprehend how incomprehensible it could seem to a fresh mind. And things got even trickier when my former company added Sports betting into the Fantasy Sports mix... After some heroic feedback from my younger colleagues struggling to grasp "fantasy mechanics" for creative, UX, and programming purposes, it hit me that we should do something about it. Enter the "FSI Onboarding Videos" section.


In this first video we introduced the bare basics of Fantasy Sports:

As we proudly stand at the crossroads of these two industries, bridging them with our innovative Fixed-Odds-Fantasy #FOF products, we are excited to share our experience with our new recruits, our aspiring colleagues, and the collective iGaming Family worldwide!


In this first video we cover how the game works in under a minute, briefly touching upon Fantasy Leagues and Contests.
